CACI U.S. Operations Revalidates, Expands CMMI Level 3 Appraisal

CACI International Inc announced today that its U.S. Operations has successfully completed a multi-model appraisal under the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) criteria that revalidates its Maturity Level 3 (ML 3) for Development and adds an appraisal of Maturity Level 3 for Services. These appraisals confirm the strength of CACI’s organizational commitment to providing its customers with reliable, predictable processes that deliver software and engineering solutions and services at industry-recognized levels of excellence.
Established by the CMMI Institute, CMMI is a framework used by the Department of Defense and civilian sectors of the federal government, among others, to evaluate the ability of prospective contractors to perform on systems and software engineering projects. The continuously evolving mission requirements of these customers demand predictable performance, which CMMI results validate. CACI’s appraisals were performed by Process Improvement & Compliance LLC, a CMMI Institute partner organization.
CACI has made a commitment to operational excellence a cornerstone of its success since its founding. To support this excellence, it has maintained CMMI levels for several decades. By re-validating and expanding its CMMI appraisals, CACI assures its customers that solutions and services follow industry-standard processes to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. The organization’s standard processes, the basis for maturity level 3, are established and improved over time.
CACI Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations John Mengucci said, “CACI’s CMMI-DEV and CMMI-SVC Maturity Level 3 ratings of our U.S. Operations, let our customers know that the sophisticated solutions and services we provide them meet the rigorous standards of our industry. We are gratified to note that the reviewers singled out our Delivery+ framework for praise, as it forms the basis for our continuous improvement of our processes.”
Ken Asbury, CACI’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “A commitment to operational excellence is at the heart of CACI’s strategy for growth. With the revalidation of our CMMI Maturity Level 3 for Development and the addition of a CMMI Maturity Level 3 for Services, we demonstrate that CACI is dedicated to achieving, and maintaining, the highest standards of project management and process control in our industry. We will continue to deploy this excellence to deliver long-term value to our customers.”
