Electrolube to Present Conformal Coatings Seminar at EFY EXPO

Reading time ( words)

Electrolube, the global electro-chemicals manufacturer for electronics, automotive and industrial manufacturing, will be participating in India's foremost EMS conference, the ELCINA CEO Summit. Phil Kinner, Technical Director for Electrolube's Conformal Coatings Division, will provide a complete overview of conformal coatings and discuss their relevance through a presentation at the Electronics For You Expo, which will be held from January 11–13, 2016 at BIEC, Bangalore.

Electrolube will be exhibiting on booth ET1 at EFY EXPO, where the company will be welcoming visitors and displaying their extensive range of IPC-CC-830 accredited Conformal Coatings. Additionally, a series of Electrolube Conformal Coatings including AFA, 2K100, 2K500, UVCL, LTC and DCA have all passed qualification to BMW Group Standard GS95011-5 reinforcing the brand’s reputation for excellence and performance in the harshest of environments.

During the presentation, Kinner will outline what conformal coatings actually are, why manufacturers should use coatings for long-term reliability of electronic components and the results of ineffective coating processes. A key take-away point from the presentation will be an explanation of why the coating process can go wrong and mechanisms that can be put in place to prevent this. The presentation will also touch upon the value of approvals and how relevant they are to ‘real life’ applications. An approval is no guarantee of absolute success but Electrolube works to develop coatings to meet increasingly stringent testing and harsher environments.

Kinner comments, "EFY EXPO will provide a perfect platform from which Electrolube can further support the market with our established expertise in conformal coatings. By participating in this event as a guest speaker, I hope to expand the audience's understanding of conformal coatings and identify key pointers to ensure a more successful coating process. We have secured a leading position in the Indian market as a key supplier for electronics manufacturers. Electrolube's latest product launches for the Conformal Coatings market offer some revolutionary technology and benefits."

Ron Jakeman, Managing Director of Electrolube, comments, "We are delighted to have the opportunity to share our expertise in conformal coatings with the local electronics community at EFY Expo. Electrolube is globally recognised as an industry leader for its expansive and pioneering range of conformal coatings, which are available in a variety of formulations and serve virtually every manufacturing need. Our business in India is growing rapidly and with our offices and manufacturing facilities in Bangalore, we are in a very strong position to meet the increasing needs of local manufacturers with our range of specialist chemicals."

The EFY Expo will be held for the first time in Bangalore, renowned as the capital of India's electronics industry. Bangalore is home to much of India's "high end" electronics industry, including over 65% of India's aerospace business and an escalating hub for automotive companies, making it an ideal environment for Electrolube’s vast range of electro-chemical products.

Padmanabha Shaktivelu, General Manager of Electrolube India, said "We are looking forward to meeting new and existing customers at EFY EXPO, not only to showcase our conformal coatings range and provide an insight into conformal coatings through our guest speaker, Phil Kinner, but also to help visitors find better solutions for their existing manufacturing processes. India is the fastest growing market for Electrolube and we have been very impressed this year with the high level of interest from local manufacturers. Having won Best Conformal Coatings award in India this year for our entire range, we have taken innovation one step further to present the market with the very latest, cutting edge solutions for even more applications, which our team of knowledgeable staff will be able to advise on during the show at booth ET1."
