Prototron Circuits Now Offering a Complete PCB Global Solution
February 26, 2018 | Prototron CircuitsEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Dave Ryder, president of Prototron Circuits of Redmond, Washington and Tucson, Arizona, has announced that his company will now be offering complete global sourcing for all types of printed circuit boards.
Already known as one of North America’s leading providers of reliable printed circuit board prototype and quick-turn services, Prototron’s addition of complete PCB global solutions will now allow them to provide their customer with a full menu of technologies and services including both flex and rigid-flex, HDI/microvia boards, and competitive mid to large volume orders as well as “womb to tomb” full-life PCB services.
Commenting on these expanded service, Ryder said, “For several years now our customers have been asking us for extended options. They told us they love our customer service, consistent on-time delivery, high quality, and extreme attention to detail, but they still wanted more. We have always been a customer-focused company so when they asked for ITAR, we complied; when they asked for Mil-PRF-31032, we complied; and we did the same again when they asked for AS9100. But when our customers started asking for things like flex, rigid flex, and HDI/microvia boards as well as more competitive volume pricing, we realized that to keep them satisfied we were going to have to extend our offerings beyond the brick and mortar of our two facilities. That’s when we developed our complete global sourcing solution. We qualified some of the best offshore partners we could find. We developed our new sales strategy. We did some calibration quotes and orders to make sure that we would be fully prepared when we went “prime time,” so to speak, which is what we are doing at this time. So, we are pleased to announce that with the same fine service, quality, delivery and attention for detail that our customers have grown to rely upon, we are now adding a complete global solution to meet all your needs, both today and in the future.”

I’ve always wondered whether box build was all it was cracked up to be. Do customers really pick one EMS provider over another because one company offers box build?
