Located just outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dynamic Manufacturing, a Matric Group Company, recently installed a new Zenith Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) platform from Koh Young Technology to help them deliver the highest quality products to its growing customer base. The Zenith installation marks the 11,000th machine for Koh Young Technology and further solidifies its position as the inspection market leader.

Since its start in 1971, the Matric Group remains focused on delivering value-added electronic manufacturing services, including engineering design & layout services, aftermarket services, electromechanical box build, and cable assembly to original equipment manufacturers in a variety of fields including medical, industrial, energy, transportation, and aerospace. “Matric has dedicated itself to producing safe, effective products that meet customer performance and reliability requirements,” said Rick Turner, President of Matric Group. “Our staff is committed to continual quality improvement in everything we do for our partners. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of those relying on us.” Comprised of Matric Limited and Dynamic Manufacturing, the Matric Group of Companies has earned its reputation.
“With our resolve to deliver the highest product quality and satisfaction to our customers, it was becoming clear that we needed to upgrade our existing inspection capabilities,” said Mike Eisenman, General Manager of Dynamic Manufacturing. “After a comprehensive review of the AOI platforms available on the market, Koh Young quickly emerged as the leader thanks in part to its fundamental focus on 3D measurement. In fact, the True 3D technology in the Zenith has dramatically increased our inspection capabilities, while reducing the number of false calls. With the Koh Young 3D technology, we can inspect areas and features with greater accuracy and more reliability. These gains boosted our inspection performance and improved production rates almost immediately.”
The Zenith AOI Series measures true profilometric shapes, joints, patterns, and more, while finding foreign material on the boards. These functions are all designed from the start using True 3D measurement technology. Because the Zenith offers significant process advantages, including lower false calls and higher productivity, its popularity has surged among electronic manufacturers across the global electronics manufacturing industry. “Given this significant 11,000th machine milestone and our expanding user base, it is clear Koh Young remains the preferred 3D measurement solution in the market. While we are excited about this flourishing market acceptance, we are ecstatic to welcome Dynamic Manufacturing into the Koh Young family,” said Mr. Juan Arango, Managing Director at Koh Young America.
