Air China has renewed its contract for Rockwell Collins’ ARINC GLOBALink voice and data communications. The air/ground data communications service, which covers the national flag carrier’s entire fleet of aircraft, provides critical flight information to maximize performance, safety and operations.

Air China’s plan to expand its fleet and international routes are key drivers for a seamless and highly reliable communications network to exchange information with ground crews and airline host systems.

Air China subscribes to Rockwell Collins’ entire suite of ARINC GLOBALink services, including Very High Frequency (VHF), Satellite communications (SATCOM), High Frequency data link (HFDL) and voice to meet its diverse range of aviation communication needs.

“Our expertise in commercial aviation solutions combined with our understanding of the market in China ideally positions Rockwell Collins to provide these solutions,” said Michael DiGeorge, vice president of Commercial Aviation at Rockwell Collins. “This renewal demonstrates the strategic nature of our relationship with Air China and marks another milestone in our successful strategy to invest and grow our business in the country.”
