Reading time ( words)

The 2019 iNEMI Roadmap is now available online. For this cycle, the 20+ chapters are being published in waves, every two to three weeks. New in this edition are:

  • Smart Manufacturing Technology Working Group (TWG) chapter
  • Refocused Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Product Emulator Group (PEG) chapter
  • Roadmap Overview, which provides an extensive synopsis of each individual chapter

iNEMI’s roadmap is a global collaborative effort, developed by more than 300 subject matter experts from all perspectives of the electronics manufacturing supply chain, including manufacturers, suppliers, consortia, government agencies and universities. Individuals from these diverse organizations share their expertise to help define the technology needs of key market segments by focusing on the market demands and functionality requirements of those segments. They also identify key technology developments anticipated and required within the supply chain to meet product needs between now and 2029.

Fourteen chapters have been published to date and are available online: Aerospace & Defense; Board Assembly; High-End Systems; Industrial Internet of Things; Mass Data Storage; MEMS & Sensors; Medical; Modeling Simulation & Design Tools; Optoelectronics; Organic PCB; Power Conversion Electronics; Semiconductor Technologies; Smart Manufacturing; and Sustainable Electronics.

The roadmap is free to iNEMI members, and chapters are $500 each for non-members, with special pricing available for not-for-profit organizations.
