ILFA and Christian Behrendt have found a new co-owner, Thomas Michels. Michels will also take an active role, working with Behrendt in shaping the company and aligning it for the future.
“With Michels on the company's management team, we have another driver who will steer the company into a prosperous future,” said Behrendt.
Michels has many years of experience in the printed circuit board industry. In his former role as managing director in the materials sector he built up a comprehensive know-how which he uses to further expand ILFA's leading position in the prototype sector.
“ILFA has been a recognized leader in the printed circuit board industry for 39 year," said Michels. “I am looking forward to the challenges that the prototype production brings with it and I am firmly convinced that the topic ‘from prototype to small series’ will become more and more important in the European market. I will use my accumulated expertise from the material sector together with ILFA's 39 years of experience to shape the future of printed circuit boards at ILFA.”

In fact, it always makes me laugh when one of my innovative friends finds a new way to do something and is afraid that someone will steal his idea. I always tell him that no one in our business, especially a PCB engineer, has ever thought about someone else’s innovative idea enough to steal it.
